         The song Malaya tells about a girl who dreams that her ex boyfriend will come back and love her even if its hurting her because of the past, but the decision of her ex boyfriend is final , so she set him free if that's going to make him happy even it hurts. She just surrendered not because she's scared but she let him free because of love.
